In my 90-day program, your dog will learn to be an excellent field companion and mannerly at home.

The first month of the program concentrates on behavior development and conditioning responses to mechanical cues from the check-cord.

The second month focuses on transitioning those conditioned responses to cues off an e-collar as we begin the steadying process on birds.

In the final month, we’ll further refine your dog’s new skills. By the end of the course, your dog will have plenty of bird contact and will have been exposed to numerous hunting scenarios every day. You’ll be able to walk up in front of your dog while they’re on point and shoot birds over them. Your dog will honor another, follow and come to you off of cues from the e-collar, and heel off lead. They’ll be ready for their first season with you!

Note: these are “green broke” dogs ready to begin a career.

I’ll tailor your flushing dog’s training to their breed’s purpose. Below are more details on what you can expect them to learn:

• Recall and handling on and off lead

• Sit and hup command

• Place training

• Development of a nice retrieve to hand

• Heel on and off lead

• Flush on command

• Gun introduction
